Midthunder is a member of the Fort Peck Assiniboine as well as the Sioux Tribe. She was born in the Navajo Nation in Shiprock, New Mexico, and eventually returned there after spending much of her childhood living in Santa Fe, where she went to an Academy for Technology and the Classics and where her mother was employed in a casting business. Amber was born Native American on her father's side, and both are an enrolled member of the Fort Peck Sioux Tribe. Amber's mother is an adopted. Amber therefore has an unknown mix of her ancestry. Prey stars a majority of Native American actors, such as Dakota Beavers (who is Blackfeet and Comanche) as well as Jhane Meiers who has been advising the show for a number of years. Coco is a cute and adorable dog actress. She is Sarii. Her breed is American Dingo, a rare endangered species. Carolina Dog is a breed that has existed for centuries.
